House Resolution in circulation for Co-Sponsors

A Request from Anna

I am writing today to ask directly for your help. I'm asking you to reach out ASAP to your Congressional Representatives in the House asking for their support as a cosponsor of a House Resolution on the detainment of my husband, Ryan Corbett.

Simply call your House Representative to:

1.  Make them aware of this resolution being coordinated by Representative Claudia Tenney of New York.

2.  Let them know that this is an important priority for you as their constituent.

3.  Ask them to sign on as a co-sponsor to this bipartisan resolution.

The deadline to sign on as an original Co-sponsor is Tuesday, 16 January at 10:00 AM. Further co-sponsors are welcome at any time until it is introduced to the floor potentially later this month.

To co-sponsor the resolution they should reach out directly to Representative Tenney's office.

The Clerk of the House maintains addresses and phone numbers of all House members and Committees, or you may call (202) 224-3121 for the U.S. House switchboard operator.

You may simply state:

"I am calling on behalf of Anna Corbett, wife of Ryan Corbett who has been wrongfully detained by the Taliban in Afghanistan for 17 months. I am asking you to reach out to Representative Claudia Tenney's (NY) office to co-sponsor a bipartisan resolution on Ryan's detainment. I'd like to ask for follow-up to confirm that the Representative has signed as a co-sponsor. The deadline to be an original cosponsor is 16 Jan at 10:00AM though co-sponsorship is welcome up until it is introduced to the floor potentially later this month"
